Volunteer opportunities
We're always on the lookout for new volunteers; it's an opportunity to give something back to the community.
Whether you can spare a few hours to help in the office, become a driver for the Wellbeing Car Service or drive one of our Dial-a-Ride minibuses, we want to hear from you.
Any time you can offer would be greatly appreciated - you can volunteer at a time to suit you.

Wellbeing Car Service
We always need volunteers for our wellbeing car service.
You would use your own vehicle to pick up passengers and take them to medical appointments, be it doctor, hospital, dentist, optician or visiting a patient and home again. All your mileage is reimbursed at HMRC rates, currently 55 pence per mile.
We will need to see your driving licence and insurance and you will need an enhanced DBS check, which we will pay for. Car insurance usually covers you for volunteer driving, but you must check with your insurer to ensure you are covered.

Minibus drivers
We often need volunteers to drive one of our minibuses. If you have a D1 on your licence and previous experience driving a larger vehicle then it could be you!
You will have an assessment with our driver trainer and receive training from one of our friends at Glamis Hall's Day Centre in ways of safely helping older and disabled people on and off the bus. We will need to check your driving licence and you will have an enhanced DBS check, which we will pay for.

Help in the office
If you have experience of office work, we would love some help in the office. Our phones get very busy, particularly in the mornings, so if you have a morning a week to spare, or even just a few hours, please do get in touch.
